About CryoCorrect Precision™

CryoCorrect Precision™ is an in-office, nonsurgical treatment for dark spots and skin tags. This therapy by SkinCeuticals® is clinically proven to treat mild to moderate skin imperfections, including age and sun spots, skin tags, and lesions of the hands, face, and body in as little as one session. CryoCorrect uses cryotechnology and a steady flow of carbon dioxide to gently freeze away blemishes quickly and efficiently, with some treatments taking as little as – 8 seconds. The regulated stream of carbon dioxide used for this procedure is administered via The Cryo Pen, a specialized handpiece exclusively used to perform CryoCorrect. The Cryo Pen causes minimal discomfort and leaves surrounding skin unharmed. After the initial freezing, the treatment area will not require extensive healing or any downtime, and you will be ready to return to your daily activities.

Dr. Theodore Foley at Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery of Central Pennsylvania is proud to offer this exclusive procedure, and looks forward to helping you reach your cosmetic and skin care goals with CryoCorrect. Schedule a consultation at our Camp Hill, PA practice at your earliest convenience to find out more about this innovative procedure.

Best Candidates

Just about anyone with unwanted skin imperfections may be an ideal candidate for CryoCorrect. CryoCorrect works well as a stand alone treatment or in conjunction with a series of facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion or laser treatments. Before undergoing a CryoCorrect treatment, Dr. Foley will carefully and closely inspect your skin to ensure that skin cancer is not a concern. Patients who have had or may currently have skin cancer are not candidates for this procedure. Dr. Foley and/or our aesthetician  recommends that patients with darker complexions try a small, inconspicuous spot before treating larger, more visible areas to ensure optimal results can be obtained.

What to Expect

During your CryoCorrect treatment, age spots, sun spots, and skin tags can be removed using a precise and controlled flow of carbon dioxide, which freezes the skin at a milder temperature than traditional cryogens like liquid nitrogen. This typically results in a softer, shallower, less uncomfortable freeze that is more likely to leave the surrounding skin intact. Immediately following your treatment, the skin will become darker in color and a scab will begin to form. The scab will fall off in the coming weeks, revealing healthy skin beneath it. Some patients see optimal results with just one treatment. Most patients report full results within a month of treatment.

Other Considerations

CryoCorrect is a powerful way to eliminate unwanted age spots, skin tags, actinic keratosis, and other benign lesions. Following your treatment, our aesthetician or a member of our team will provide you with skin care recommendations to help you avoid future skin imperfections. The daily use of sunscreen and antioxidants are essential to prevent future skin damage and to maintaining your results.

Skin cancer lesion must be removed very carefully by a skilled specialist. Should skin cancer be found during your consultation for CryoCorrect, our team will recommend that you schedule an appointment with a specialist as soon as possible. We do not perform CryoCorrect on any patient who we suspect may have skin cancer.

Cost of CryoCorrect

CyroCorrect can cost from $150 – $350 depending on the size of the treatment area and the number of sessions recommended for your therapy. During your consultation at Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery of Central Pennsylvania, Dr. Foley will discuss procedure details with you, recommend a course of action for your treatment, and give you a better idea of what your out-of-pocket expense may be.
